Bosses at Aberdeen Sports Village are drawing up plans for a £6million extension.
The proposed scheme is likely to include two synthetic pitches, a new pavilion and an all-weather rugby field.
The pitch of the East End junior football club could also be replaced with an artificial one as part of the project.
A spokesman for Aberdeen Sports Village said the plans were still being finalised.
“We are currently working on design concepts and hope to utilise this space to provide two synthetic pitches and an associated pavilion for use by the university, the wider community and the East End football club,” he added.
“We intend to present these concepts to our partners – the University of Aberdeen and Aberdeen City Council – soon and will work with them going forward to make these plans a reality and further enhance the world class facilities at Aberdeen Sports Village.
Members of the public are invited to a consultation on these proposals on Monday, May 11, at 7pm in the East End Social Club.
