The plan to build a new Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre could lead to thousands of jobs in the area if an application for planning permission is accepted.
The planning permission has given as estimation that there could be up to 1,149 jobs available ranging from construction to permanent jobs.
The Bucksburn site is proposed to include an energy centre, leisure facilities and a brand new 200-bedroom hotel.
It has been said that granite from the existing buildings on the Rowett Institute site will be reused for the new development.
