An Aberdeen MSP has revealed the “shocking” state of a popular city-centre lane after drug users dumped their dirty paraphernalia.
Kevin Stewart said local businesses had contacted him to raise their concerns about the disgusting state of Adelphi Lane – with packets of legal highs and dirty needles scattered on the ground.
Last night, the SNP politician, who represents Aberdeen Central, said he had contacted the local authority to ask what would be done to ensure the space is cleared and no longer a threat to the public.
“I have also contacted Police Scotland to identify how they plan to work on preventing such behaviour, so that everyone can feel safe in our city centre,” he said.
