A 51-year-old woman has died following a collision in Aberdeen city centre this morning.
The woman was hit by an HGV on the city’s Market Street at 8.25am this morning and was rushed to hospital but has now died.
The innermost lane of the northbound carriageway has been closed and is likely to remain closed for some time to allow for collision investigation to be carried out.
Roads Policing Inspector Jon Barron said: “We would request that motorists be patient with any delays in the area. We would also like to appeal to anyone who witnessed the collision who has not already spoken to police to contact officers on 101.”
