The incident happened at a farm in Tullynessle, near Alford, at around 3.30pm. A fire team from Alford used one hose reel jet and breathing apparatus to contain the blaze. A fire and rescue spokesman said: “It was over with at 4pm. It was in a field, out in the open.”
