Around 60 people welcomed the arrival of 2015 by plunging into the North Sea to raise funds for young people with cancer.
The annual fundraiser at Stonehaven Harbour drew dozens of supporters eager to take the plunge for leading charity CLIC Sargant.

The dippers were led into the water by Michael Hopkins, 31, of Peterculter, who has headed the fundraiser for the past six years.
He said: “This is my sixth year as lead dipper. In my first year we have 30 dippers which raised around £5,000 and since then it’s just gone up and up each year.”
People registered on the cold Stonehaven beach from 10.30am on New Year’s Day and the dip got underway at midday.
Some dived straight under the water whereas others were far more tentative as they embraced the North Sea.
The dip has become a key event in the town’s calendar of New Year events.
Sarah Newman, a Stonehaven resident, takes part every year and now her children enjoy the fundraising dip as well.
Her son Bert went into the water for the first time while daughter Maddy enjoyed the dip for a second year.
Hannah Waugh, who was crowned Miss Galaxy Dundee last year, also joined in the fundraiser.
Ms Waugh is arranging her own event to raise money for CLIC Sargent and will embark on a five-kilometre assault course challenge on Saturday, January 24.
Miss Waugh said: “I’m really proud to be doing my bit to help CLIC Sargent.
“I’ve seen the difference the charity makes to the lives of children and young people with cancer and their families.
“It reduces the stress and isolation, which children and young people particularly feel, and helps everyone make sense of a cancer diagnosis and cope with the emotional impact on their everyday lives.”
