Six men have appeared in court in connection with an alleged brawl in Keith.
A man was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary on Saturday after police were called to a “number of disturbances” in the town.
The alleged incidents took place in the Mid Street area at around 4.45pm, and thereafter in the Commercial Hotel area and the Cameron Drive and Hay Crescent areas of the town.
Yesterday, six men – all from Keith – appeared in private at Elgin Sheriff Court in connection with the incident.
Anthony McPhee, 30, faced five charges of behaving in a threatening and abusive manner, and one of assaulting or hindering emergency service workers.
Thomas McPhee, 21, is accused of two charges of behaving in a threatening and abusive manner and theft.
Alexander Tait, 26, and Michael Tait, 20, are each accused of assault and behaving in a threatening and abusive manner.
Alexander Crook, 33, is accused of theft, two charges of behaving in a threatening and abusive manner and breaching his bail conditions.
Kevin Low, 26, is also alleged to have behaved in a threatening and abusive manner.
They made no plea or declaration, and their cases were continued for further examination.
They were all released on bail, apart from Anthony McPhee who was remanded.
