Only permit holders will be able to park in the authority’s Glenurquhart Road headquarters and the adjacent space at Eden Court Theatre. The move means only councillors and officers will be able to park there between 8am-4pm on weekdays. Anyone caught parking there without a permit will face a £60 fine. Outwith those hours, a pay and display arrangement will cost drivers £2 for up to three hours, £4 for up to 10 hours or £5 for 24 hours. The charges are in line with the nearby Cathedral car park and expected to raise the cash-strapped council an estimated £20,000 a year.
