A 23-year-old Inverness woman who was more than double the legal drink drive limit the morning after consuming alcohol has been fined £400 and banned from driving for a year.
Hannah Nicol, of Underwood Place, Balloch, plead guilty to the charge at Inverness Sheriff Court yesterday.
Fiscal depute Anna Robertson told the court that the offence happened on the A96 Inverness-Aberdeen road, at Balloch Junction, at 8.35am on July 23 last year.
Sheriff Neilson said that Miss Nicol will be eligible for a three month reduction in her ban if she completes a drink driver rehabilitation course.
