Karol Rozyc, of Johnston Place, Inverness, broke down in tears as he told Inverness Sheriff Court that the allegation had cost him his marriage. He had denied assaulting the woman as he and she lay drunk on a friend’s bed in a house in Culloden almost three and a half years ago. The 34 year old insisted “nothing happened” as he gave evidence during the second day of his trial at Inverness Sheriff Court. Yesterday he was acquitted and he and his defence solicitor Eilidh Macdonald thanked the jury. Breaking down during his evidence, he said: “I was a happy married man. Because of this, now I am divorced and only see my children at week-ends.”
