Highland man struggled with police because he didn’t think he should be arrested

A 26-year-old Aviemore man who struggled with police because he believed he was being wrongly arrested was ordered to carry out 100 hours of unpaid community work yesterday.
College student Duncan Fraser, of Morlich Court, appeared at Inverness Sheriff Court and admitted resisting arrest at Aviemore railway station on July 2 last year.
The court was told that he had got into the company of a group of youths who were drinking on the train.
Defence solicitor Marc Dickson said: “Some difficulties arose with the group. He was not involved but one of them assaulted the guard and the police were called.
“He hotly disputed being responsible and reacted inappropriately. He bitterly regrets this.”
