Woman accused of embezzling money from Highland high school where she worked

A woman accused of embezzling money from the high school where she worked, will stand trial in the summer.
Dawn Budge, 58, of Leishman Avenue, Wick, denies on indictment, stealing just over £900 while employed as an administrative assistant at Wick High School, between August 1, 2013, and April 14, 2014.
A date was fixed at June 22, and the trial will take place before a jury at Wick Sheriff Court.
Some difficulty was experienced in finding a date, that would be suitable to the accused and not disrupt class work – some of the teachers are due to give evidence.
The June choice is just after exams and before the school holidays.
