Joanne Johnston, 32, of Taransay Crescent, admitted illegal possession of a Stanley knife blade on August 16, 2015, whilst on bail. Fiscal depute Michelle Molley said: “She was detained buy police outside a house in Kilmuir Court and conveyed to Burnett Road Police Station. “Prior to a routine search by a police constable, she produced a Stanley knife which was approximately four inches in length. “She said her reason for possession of the blade was ‘I used it to cut my shorts’ referring to clothing she had worn earlier that day.” Sentence was deferred for a background report until March 9 and her bail was continued.
