A Rangers fan sat in the home section at an Inverness Caledonian Thistle match then jeered at the opposition supporters.
Yesterday at Inverness Sheriff Court, 23-year-old Sean Hastings of Cromdale, Grantown, pleaded guilty to offensive behaviour at the football match on October 14.
The court heard that he wore his opposition colours under his jacket, which he then removed to reveal his Rangers shirt.
Hastings then began shouting and jeering at the home fans, fiscal depute Martina Eastwood told the court.
“The police then took him away.” Ms Eastwood added.
Defence lawyer Neil Wilson said: “He admits he acted like an idiot. He couldn’t get tickets for the away stand so he got one for the home stand.”
Hastings was banned from going to any football match for six months and fined £450.
