Four people have appeared in court following a massive drugs find in Moray’s biggest town.
Police seized cannabis and valium with a street value of around £20,000 during a morning raid in Elgin on Thursday.
About £5,000 in cash was also found after officers attended at the home Anderson Drive.
Yesterday four people appeared at Elgin Sheriff Court charged with supplying drugs.
Bryan Sutherland, 29, and John McCormick, 49 – both from Glasgow – Kay Hastings, 49, and David Arthur, 30 – both from
Elgin – all made no plea when they appeared in private.
All of them had their cases committed for further examination and were released on bail.
Last night Detective Sergeant Andy Wilson said: “There is no place for drugs in our communities. We work extremely hard to make the region as safe as possible to ensure it is a hostile environment for such crime.”
Sutherland, McCormick, Hastings and Arthur are due to appear in court again at a future date.
Anyone with information about drug dealing should contact police by phoning 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
