A woman has pleaded not guilty to three counts of assaulting children in her care at a north-east nursery.
India Mitchell of Wallace Way in Fraserburgh is accused of attacking the youngsters at the town’s Peek-A-Boo nursery between August 2015 and December last year.
The 21-year-old, who was not present for the hearing at Peterhead Sheriff Court yesterday, pleaded not guilty in a solicitor’s letter.
She is facing a charge of assaulting one boy by using a vacuum cleaner to pull his hair.
In another incident in December last year, Mitchell allegedly seized a two-year-old by the hair, pulled her backwards and let her crash to the floor.
Finally, it is claimed she held a third tot by her ankles, causing her to fall and injure her head and body.
