A Ross-shire tree surgeon who repeatedly assaulted his partner over a two year period has to wait another three weeks before being sentenced.
Aaron Urquhart, formerly of Donald Cameron Court in Maryburgh, was expecting to be dealt with yesterday at Inverness Sheriff Court.
Last month, an up to date social work report was called for by Sheriff Margaret Neilson.
But defence solicitor advocate Shahid Latif told the court that the report that had been prepared was “regurgitated from the old one.”
He added; “The social worker did not see Mr Urquhart and this report does not deal with the protective factors.”
Mr Latif told Sheriff Neilson that his client had successfully completed a domestic abuse programme during the several months Urquhart had been on remand and it had reduced his risk of re-offending.
The sheriff deferred again until April 25 explaining that she had to have an up to date report before sentencing.
