A Wick woman is to stand trial in the summer on charges of assaulting a police officer, obstructing him in the course of his inquiries and behaving in a threatening or abusive manner.
Leanne Gammie, 37, pleaded not guilty when she appeared from custody at the town’s sheriff court yesterday.
The offences are alleged to have occurred at the Balti House restaurant, in High Street, Wick, and outside it, on Sunday.
Gammie, of Macrae Street, was granted conditional bail and will return to court for her trial on July 11. She is banned from entering the restaurant, meantime and will be subject to a 7pm-7am curfew, daily.
