Thomas Haining, of Inverness, had appeared at Inverness Sheriff Court on Thursday and was remanded overnight. He made no plea to the charge of killing his newborn Mikayla who was pronounced dead in the city’s Raigmore Hospital last month. Sheriff David Sutherland again kept him in custody. He is due to appear in court for a third time within the next seven days.
