A 20-year-old Inverness man was criticised by a sheriff for being a “thoroughly obnoxious nuisance” at Raigmore Hospital.
Aran MacIver, of St Francis Gardens, admitted behaving in a threatening or abusive manner on April 23 this year in the hospital, and again on May 19 outside his home when he shouted and swore after making nuisance 999 calls.
Inverness Sheriff Court was told MacIver was “heavily intoxicated.”
Defending, Neil Wilson agreed with Sheriff Gordon Fleetwood’s comment about his client being obnoxious, and added: “He seems to have started to go off the rails after his grandmother died and he knows he has to do something about it.”
The sheriff ordered MacIver to remain under social work supervision for a year and take part in offender awareness and alcohol treatment programmes.
He also ordered him to carry out 100 hours of unpaid community work.
