Heroin with a street value of around £3,000 was recovered from a property in Elgin at the weekend.
Police carrying out a drugs search warrant found the class A substance at a house in the Meadow Crescent area on Saturday.
A 28-year-old local man has been charged and expected to appear at Elgin Sheriff Court today.
Constable Rosanagh Davison, of the Divisional Alcohol Violence Reduction Unit, said: “Thank you to the members of the public who provided information in connection with this inquiry.
