A Lewick man has admitted supplying drugs after being found on the NorthLink ferry with £2,500 of cannabis.
Ian Mutch, of St Olaf St, was caught with the Class B drug on the Hrossey as it travelled from Aberdeen to Shetland on Monday.
The 25-year-old admitted being concerned in the supply of drugs, and stealing a rucksack from a shared cabin on the boat, when he appeared at Lerwick Sheriff Court from custody yesterday.
Procurator fiscal Keith Adam told the court Mutch had been seen with the rucksack on CCTV, and that it contained 150 grams of herbal cannabis.
Sentence was deferred for the preparation of background reports, and Mutch was remanded meantime. He will next appear on October 25.
