A teenage boy has been charged in connection with a spate of vandalism in Inverurie.
The 14-year-old has been reported to the youth justice management unit in relation 11 incidents of vehicle damage, three vandalisms at St Andrews Primary School and another incident at Market Place Primary School.
Over recent weekends, vehicles have been damaged in and near the town centre and officers are concerned by the recent rise in general antisocial behaviour.
Inspector Darren Bruce of the Garioch Community Policing Team said: “A series of additional patrols are now in place to prevent further incidents and officers will actively engage and if necessary, disrupt those who may become involved in this type of criminality.”
Inquiries are continuing and officers continue to appeal for anyone with information to contact police on 101.
