Glynn Davies, of St Leonard’s Street, Forres, admitted driving carelessly on the A96 at Tomhommie on May 5. Inverness Sheriff Court was told a police speed check was being carried out on a straight stretch of road and clocked Davies at the high speed. Defence solicitor John MacColl said: “He travelled at this speed for only a short period. He accepts that he will be disqualified.” Davies was also fined £750.
