A 32-year-old former Easter Ross man will be sentenced next month after admitting downloading and distributing indecent images of children.
David Gilfillan, previously of Riverside Road, Alness, but now living in Bonnybridge, had sentence deferred until February 6 at Inverness Sheriff Court yesterday.
Fiscal depute David Morton said that police had received a report that Gilfillan had an indecent image of a young girl on his phone. Officers raided his home and took possession of electronic equipment.
Analysis showed that 36 images of young boys and girls had been downloaded on to them, and 11 images had been distributed between May, 2015 and September 2015.
Gilfillan was placed on the sex offender’s register and had his bail continued.
