Five men have been charged in connection with alleged drugs offences, police have said.
Three men aged 49, 36 and 21 are expected to appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court today following the recovery of heroin and crack cocaine in the Spital area of Aberdeen worth an estimated £7,000 yesterday.
Two men aged 30 and 17 are also expected to appear at court today following the recovery of cannabis with an estimated street value of £19,000.
The recovery was made after a Peugeot van was stopped on the A90 just south of Stonehaven on Tuesday.
Detective inspector Allen Shaw said: “These seizures highlight our commitment to tackling drug misuse and serious and organised crime and how information from the public can make a difference.
“I cannot stress enough just how crucial the information we receive from the public is in helping us intercept illegal substances bound for communities in the north-east. Please continue to let us know your concerns about drugs by calling Police on 101.”
