A 21 year old Dingwall man who was challenged by staff about fooling around at a local kebab shop punched one of them on the head.
Ryan Simpson of Peffery Road, appeared at Inverness Sheriff Court yesterday and admitted the assault which took place in County Kebab on March 4 this year.
Defence solicitor David Patterson said his client “has a lot of cases hanging over him.
“This was fuelled by alcohol which he should not be touching. When challenged by this individual, he slipped into old habits.”
Sheriff Margaret Neilson noted that Simpson had already appeared on petition for another serious offence and also had a deferred sentence.
She said: “He is currently on a few court orders so I have to get reports. But with the number of chances he has been given, this is very disappointing.”
Simpson will re-appear on May 9.
