A 27-year-old Fort William man was ordered back to prison for 80 days to finish a 12-month sentence after admitting a disturbance in an Inverness street.
John MacPhee, of Iona Court, also had three months added on by Sheriff Gordon Fleetwood at Inverness yesterday after admitting motoring offences and police assault.
Inverness Sheriff Court heard that McPhee had been at a party in the Raigmore estate in Inverness and borrowed a car to go and see a friend in Hilton.
But police were called to the vehicle, which was stopped in Cauldeen Road with MacPhee slumped at the wheel.
The court was told when MacPhee didn’t respond, police smashed the window to gain entry.
He then attempted to kick out at one officer and struck another on the legs. Fiscal depute Matthew Kerr said MacPhee was arrested but refused to give a roadside breath sample.
Defence solicitor advocate Michael Chapman said: “His behaviour was reprehensible.”
