A 32-year-old Inverness man was jailed for nine months yesterday after admitting struggling with police last October.
Officers were called to a 4th floor flat in Inverness’ Academy Street to investigate a report of a TV being thrown on to the ground.
Inverness Sheriff Court was told that when they knocked on Jonathon Sinclair’s door, he at first didn’t let them in.
However the constables did gain entry at the third attempt which is when Sinclair began resisting arrest.
Sinclair, who admitted previous convictions, also pleaded guilty to a breach of a special bail condition banning him from entering the property at 94 Academy Street.
His sentence was backdated to December 6 which effectively means his release will be imminent.
