An argument over a bottle of beer ended with a Muir of Ord man smashing a car window and endangering the occupants.
Catherine McAllister had gone to pick up her 27-year-old-partner Lee Jeffrey at his home in Drover’s Court with her father and a child on December 7 last year.
But Inverness Sheriff Court was told yesterday that she wouldn’t let Jeffrey in the vehicle because she had banned any alcohol in it.
Fiscal depute Ross Carvel said: “He lost his temper and smashed the rear window.”
Defence solicitor Marc Dickson said: “It was an impetuous loss of control.”
Deferring sentence for good behaviour until October 24, Sheriff Gary Aitken told Jeffrey: “This could have had much worse consequences than it did.”
