A man who tried to gouge his ex-partner’s eyes out has been jailed for four months.
Rafal Viktor, of Island Bank Road, Inverness, admitted behaving in a threatening way towards Joanna Troszynska by shouting and swearing at her, and threatening to assault her new partner.
Inverness Sheriff Court heard Ms Troszynska had recorded the incident on her phone after Viktor turned up at her door on April 9.
Fiscal depute Ross Carvel said Viktor threatened to “beat up” her new partner as well as saying he would gouge out her eyes if she told the police.
Mr Carvel went on: “She has been left terrified by his actions and is concerned the conduct will escalate.”
Viktor, 40, also admitted breaching a non-harassment order imposed late last year, which meant he was meant to stay away from Ms Troszynska.
Sheriff Margaret Neilson jailed him for four months and imposed a new two-year non-harassment order.
Defence solicitor advocate Shahid Latif said Viktor was considering returning to Poland on his release.
