Four people to go on trial accused of kidnapping a man in Aberdeen
ByChris Jaffray
Four people are due to go on trial later this year accused of carrying out a kidnap on a street in Aberdeen.
Gary Milne, 19, Ross Alexander, 28, Toms Gavarins, 19, and 18-year-old Carmen Robertson, are accused of targeting Ethan Robertson on Golf Road on October 2 last year.
Court papers state that the group are all accused of an assault against him by allegedly seizing his body, putting him in a headlock and later forcing him into a car.
They are also alleged to have abducted him by holding him against his will.
Another charge claims they forced Mr Robertson to contact his father, and tell him that if money was not transferred then he would be put in the hands of another group who would attack him.
They are accused of extorting money from both men as a result of the alleged threat against Mr Robertson.
Both men were said to have been left in a state of alarm.
Milne, of Cornhill Drive, Alexander, of Alexander Terrace, Garavins, of Marquis Road and Robertson, of Lang Stracht, all appeared at Aberdeen Sheriff Court yesterday where they denied the offences.
They are due to go on trial in August.
