An Inverness woman who made her own crack cocaine was jailed for 18 months yesterday for being concerned in the supply of the Class A drug.
Inverness Sheriff Court heard that 34 year old Michelle Lennan stored cocaine for her boyfriend and co-accused, 38-year-old Scott Smith from Manchester.
He was jailed for 27 months. Both had admitted the offence. Their sentences were backdated to December 15 last year when they first appeared and were remanded in custody.
At an earlier hearing, the court heard that police received intelligence about 34 year old Michelle Lennan and raided her home in Balloan Road on December 13, last year.
They found several bags of a firm substance containing cocaine, with a street value of £3,940.
Also discovered was a bag of bicarbonate of soda which is used as an ingredient in crack cocaine.
She claimed to police “this is a fit-up” as they searched her property.
