Police were called to the High Street in Stonehaven on Wednesday May 16 after reports of a disturbance. When they arrived at the scene near the junction with Arbuthnott Place they discovered a 21-year-old man with injuries. He was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary by paramedics. Officers sealed off the street while they carried out an investigation. Stuart Duguid, 28, has been charged with assault to severe injury and danger of life. He appeared at Aberdeen Sheriff Court and again made no plea. Duguid, whose address was given only as Stonehaven, was remanded in custody and is expected to return to court at a later date.
