A man has admitted knocking a stranger in pink thigh-high boots unconscious in a city centre street attack.
Sean Laurenson, 31, attacked his victim on George Street on May 5.
Laurenson pled guilty to punching him on the head, knocking him to the ground and causing him to lose consciousness.
He also admitted punching a woman in the head.
Depute fiscal Carrie Stevens told Aberdeen Sheriff Court the attack took place at around 11.30pm after “words were exchanged” between two groups.
The casualty required stitches in his face. The woman did not require any medical attention.
Defence agent Alex Burn said an “exchange” between Laurenson’s group and the group of the complainer, who he said was wearing “pink thigh-high boots”, became “somewhat heated”.
He also said his client regretted the incident.
Mr Burn said the woman had been struck “unintentionally” in the struggle.
Sheriff Philip Mann ordered Laurenson, of Marchburn Avenue, Aberdeen, to carry out 100 hours of unpaid work.
A co-accused, Gary Warrender, 30, of Great Northern Road in Aberdeen, pled guilty to possession of cannabis resin and was fined £150.
