Falling asleep in an Inverness pub proved costly for a 23-year-old city man.
Graham McMillan was being escorted him from the King’s Highway pub in Church Street on September 23 last year when he kicked in a glass door panel, the city’s sheriff court heard yesterday.
After police were called, McMillan then spat on an officer who arrested him.
McMillan, of Drumblair Crescent, admitted vandalism and police assault and was fined £640.
Defence solicitor Rory Gowans said: “He had just lost his job as an apprentice, and was at a low ebb.”
