A chef who called the police and then became abusive towards them was fined £400 yesterday.
Aiden Macdonald of Ashton Road, Inverness refused to tell Sheriff Eilidh Macdonald the reason for his call or why he resisted arrest by officers at his home on November 18.
Fiscal depute Anna Chisholm said the 22 year old was involved in a trivial argument when officers arrived.
“He became argumentative with the police, puffing out his chest and holding a mobile phone six inches from one officer’s face.
Then there was a struggle when police tried to arrest him.” Miss Chisholm told Inverness Sheriff Court.
