A 41-year-old Strathpeffer man posted a video of him setting fire to clothing on social media as part of a stalking campaign against his ex-partner.
Alexander Macdonald of Kinellan, admitted carrying out a threatening and abusive course of conduct by sending text messages, shouting and swearing at her and making repeated phone calls.
The charge went on that it caused Aliia Nairn fear and alarm between February 18 and March 12 this year.
Sheriff Gordon Fleetwood decided to call for a background report before hearing the full facts at Inverness Sheriff Court yesterday.
Macdonald will re-appear for sentence on September 13.
