A Nairn teenager who brandished a piece of wood at a man he thought was climbing in to his garden with a similar weapon had his sentence further deferred yesterday.
Dylan West of Anne Crescent had previously admitted behaving in a threatening or abusive manner outside his home on May 11.
Sentence had been deferred by Sheriff Gary Aitken for a background report as the 18-year-old was on two community payback orders.
The Sheriff was told at Inverness Sheriff Court that West had successfully completed one order and had begun a second with 60 hours of unpaid work to complete.
Defence solicitor Rory Gowans said his client had applied to join the Army and was eager to complete the order.
Sentence was further deferred until December 20 for an up-to-date report on the order’s progress.
