Police stumbled across cannabis farm while investigating a noise complaint

A man’s home cannabis farm was discovered after he left blaring music on in his flat late at night – prompting neighbours to call the council to complain.
Shaun Finnan’s cultivation was found after a local authority noise team contacted police in the early hours of December 3 last year requesting they attend the flat in Dundee’s Strathmartine Road.
The cops had a joiner force the door open where they found a black tent set up in the flat’s living room.
It contained a home-made cannabis farm with multiple plants producing the drug with a value of £3000.
Finnan, 28, of William Street, Dundee, pleaded guilty on indictment to producing cannabis on December 3 last year.
Sheriff Alastair Carmichael deferred sentence until November 12 and released Finnan on bail meantime.
