Man fined and given non-harrassment order after sending letters and parcels to co-worker

An accountancy graduate who became infatuated with a co-worker continuously sent her unwanted letters and parcels.
The woman contacted the police and Angus Fraser, 40, was charged with stalking her between June 1, 2015, and November 1, 2015, at two Inverness hotels.
However, Inverness Sheriff Court heard yesterday that Fraser, of the city’s Southside Place, panicked and ignored court hearings, resulting in a warrant being issued for his arrest.
The court heard it was eventually executed almost two and a half years later and Fraser was re-arrested.
His lawyer Rory Gowans told Sheriff Margaret Neilson when his client appeared for sentence yesterday: “He took off to the Caithness area and was effectively living rough. He had put his head in the sand about this.
“He developed a bit of an infatuation for this woman and took things too far. That was not his intention and for this he apologises to her.
“He has learned a valuable lesson.”
Fraser was fined £750 and a one year non-harassment order was imposed.
