A Buckie man was caught drink driving – with a pair of knuckle dusters in his top.
Ryan Wood, 27, was stopped by police on West Church Street in the town after midnight on October 21 in a vehicle without its headlights on.
Officers then discovered that Wood did not have a full driving licence and neither did anyone he was with at the time.

Wood also smelt strongly of alcohol and after breathalysing him, he was found to be over three times the drink drive limit as his breath had 67mg of alcohol in it, with the legal limit being 22mg.
He also handed over a pair of knuckle dusters to officers that he had in his top.
Defence solicitor Stephen Carty told Elgin Sheriff Court that his client should have known better than consuming alcohol and then attempting to drive.
He said: “My client accepts driving the vehicle and the level of alcohol he consumed before driving the vehicle was something he should have known better not to do due to his previous conviction.
“He would like to apologise unreservedly for his actions.
“As for the weapon charge, my client appreciates how ridiculous it is to have it on him, as the consequences would be fairly horrendous if it were used and he would like to assure court that nothing like this will happen again.”
Wood, pleaded guilty to charges of driving without a licence, without insurance, with no headlights, drink driving and possessing an offensive weapon without reasonable cause.
Sheriff Olga Pasportnikov endorsed Wood’s licence and disqualified him from holding one for three years.
Wood, of McIntosh Avenue, was also given a community payback order of six months supervision and given 100 hours of unpaid work to complete within six months.
On the weapons charge, he received a restriction of liberty order of 80 days and had to forfeit the vehicle and knuckleduster.
