A financial dispute between a 52-year-old Inverness man and his former partner resulted in him twisting her nose as she sat in a car, a court has heard.
But Inverness Sheriff Court was told that Andrew Cormack, of Wells Court, Telford Street, had avoided an ornament being thrown at him by Allison MacBean after the pair had struggled in his house.
Cormack admitted assaulting MacBean in his home on September 25 this year.
Mr Wilson said the struggle occurred when his client tried to get her out of the property. Cormack was fined £200.
