A Moray man yesterday admitted running a drug enterprise from his parents house yesterday, after over £24,000 in cash and drugs was found in his bedroom.
Gavin Wallace had stashed illicit substances and illegally obtained cash throughout the property in Elgin’s Maisondieu Road.
The 25-year-old’s drug dealing came to light when his car was pulled over by police on January 14, just before 1am.
Officers detected a smell of cannabis coming from his vehicle and after searching him they discovered he was in possession of four individual bags of cocaine.
Two containers filled with herbal substances were also found in his vehicle.

Elgin Sheriff Court heard Wallace’s phone was also repeatedly ringing, with a variety of different numbers trying to get in touch with him.
On further examination, officers found contacts on the phone were looking to source drugs, while other messages indicated he had drugs to sell.
Depute Fiscal Kevin Corrins said officers were soon arriving at his parents’ home with a search warrant.
The court was told his bedroom was locked at all hours to prevent anyone, including his parents, gaining access.
Mr Corrins said: “After a search warrant was obtained and executed by police at his address, a number of items were taken from his bedroom, including scales and empty capsules and bags.
“Significant cash bundles were found in a fridge, on top of the fridge and in a shoebox, amounting to £18,787.60.
“Cocaine and cannabis was also found in various bundles.
“The officers found 32.87g of cocaine, which sub-divided would have a value of £4,450 and 53.08g of cannabis, with a value of £815.”
Elgin Sheriff Court heard that Wallace dealt drugs in order to fund his own drug habit.
Wallace pled guilty to being concerned in the supply of cocaine and cannabis between January 1, 2017 and January 14, 2018.
Sheriff Olga Pasportnikov deferred sentence for four weeks for reports.
