A Moray farm worker yesterday pled guilty to sleeping with two underage girls in a tractor.
Ryan Mitchell, 22, of Marypark, Ballindalloch befriended the girls separately on social media in full knowledge that they were no more than 14.
He picked up the first girl in a tractor before driving to a secluded spot near to a small farm steading, where he engaged in sexual activity with her.
The girl’s mother later on became aware of some form of inappropriate contact and informed the authorities.
Mitchell acted similarly with the second complainer, this time picking a field as the destination.
Elgin Sheriff Court heard Mitchell asked the 14-year-old for sex and although she initially declined, she subsequently agreed and they had sex within the cab of the tractor.
She later contacted the authorities herself.
Depute Fiscal Kevin Corrins told the court that when Mitchell was initially interviewed by police he denied any wrongdoing.
Mr Corrins said: “In the first incident, Mitchell did recall that there was an attempt to kiss, initiated by her.
“In connection with the second incident, he denied any wrongdoing but accepted that they travelled about in the tractor and that he gave her a kiss on the cheek.”
Mitchell, however, subsequently pled guilty to having sex with two underage girls.
Sheriff Olga Pasportnikov deferred sentence for reports.
