A Highland footballer who went missing has been charged with attempted murder.
Richard Finnis, 30, who played with Highland League side Strathspey Thistle, is expected to appear at Inverness Sheriff Court tomorrow.
A 30-year-old woman was taken to Raigmore Hospital in a serious condition following the incident at 1.10pm on February 16.
A police spokesman said: “The 30-year-old man earlier arrested on warrant in relation to an alleged attempted murder on a 30-year-old woman in the Kinmylies Way area of Inverness is anticipated to appear at the city’s Sheriff Court tomorrow.”
