A disgraced police officer who admitted to falsifying evidence will find out his fate next month.
Graeme McEwan previously admitted claiming in a report that he had asked a suspect to identify the driver at the time of the crash at Aberdeen International Airport on May 18, 2016.
McEwan also falsely stated he had cautioned and charged the suspect and administered a warning.
The 48-year-old, whose address was given as c/o Police Scotland, was due to be sentenced yesterday, but sentence was further deferred for the preparation of background reports.
Sheriff Gary Aitken deferred the sentencing until April 23, warning McEwan that a “custodial sentence was at the very least a possibility.”
