A Moray woman has appeared in court charged with endangering the life of another person in a supermarket car park.
Claire Campbell is claimed to have assaulted another woman outside the Tesco store in Buckie.
Police and paramedics were called to the scene at about 1.30pm on Wednesday following reports of a woman being hit by a vehicle in the car park.
The 35-year-old was taken to Dr Gray’s Hospital in Elgin for treatment. Her injuries are described as non life-threatening.
Yesterday, Campbell appeared at Elgin Sheriff Court charged with assault to severe injury and danger of life, a further charge of assault and threatening or abusive behaviour.
The 30-year-old, whose address was given as Moray, made no plea during the hearing which was held in private.
The case was committed for further examination and Campbell was released on bail.
Sergeant Teresa Clark said: “Several members of the public witnessed the incident and I would like to thank them for their assistance in tending to the person who was hurt and the subsequent inquiry.”
