But the old Ford Escort would not start and Andrew Chinskie of Kilmuir Road, gave up on his bid to retrieve the vehicle. However Inverness Sheriff Court heard that Chinskie left his DNA behind and police checks led officers to arrest him. Chinskie, who admitted several previous convictions, pleaded guilty to a charge of reset and had sentence deferred for a background report. He will re-appear on June 13.
