Police recovered more than £70,000 worth of drugs during two separate incidents in the north of Scotland yesterday.
Officers confiscated an amount of cocaine with a street value of around £50,000 from a car travelling on the A82 in Inverness.
A 62-year-old woman has been charged in connection with the recovery and is expected to appear at Inverness Sheriff Court tomorrow.
A police statement said: “We are committed to tackling the supply of controlled drugs to the Highlands and Islands and pro-actively targeting those individuals intent on causing harm to our local communities.
“This enforcement relies on the support of the public to help officers take action to disrupt the drug trade.”
Meanwhile in Aberdeenshire, Heroin with an estimated street value of almost £22,000 was recovered after a vehicle was stopped on the A90 at Drumlithie.
Two men aged 24 and 26 from the London area have been charged as a result and are anticipated to appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court tomorrow.
A low three-figure sum of cash was also recovered.
